Data Download | EV incentives will expire in September
Federal incentives for both new and used electric vehicles are set to expire at the end of September 2025. About two-thirds of vehicle purchases in Vermont are of used vehicles, which can be eligible for up to $4,000 in federal tax credits (until Sept. 30, 2025). Transitioning to an EV can deliver long-term affordability, because EVs typically have lower fueling and maintenance costs than fossil fuel vehicles, leading to lower lifetime costs of ownership. With state incentives fully expended, anyone who has been considering replacing a gas car with an EV might want to take a look now, before federal incentives expire. For the most up-to-date information about available incentives, visit driveelectricvt.com.

Profile – VIEW Training Center
The Vermont Innovation, Efficiency, and Weatherization (VIEW) Center hosted its grand opening earlier this month. Many EAN partners have been involved over the past few years in the effort to create this weatherization training center for Vermont. The mission of the VIEW Center is to provide high-quality, hands-on training in energy efficiency to support Vermont’s weatherization workforce, fostering sustainable, energy-efficient homes while contributing to the state’s economic and environmental goals.
The VIEW center offers online and in-person trainings for WAP crews and staff, EEN contractors, and other technicians, tradespeople, or people interested in learning more about efficiency and weatherization. Many trainings will be free over the next few months. You can see more including their training schedule on their website here: https://www.vtweatherizationtraining.com/.
