Specifically, there has been a 12% decline in fossil heating fuel sales in Vermont between 2018 and 2023, according to data from the Vermont Department of Taxes. This includes latest research and analysis regarding what is causing recent shifts in fossil heating fuel sales, and possible implications for Global Warming Solutions Act and Clean Heat Standard compliance.
