Clean and Affordable Vehicle Collaborative
Goals
- Find ways to ensure EVs are available and affordable in Vermont, so that:
- More Vermonters can benefit from the lower fueling and maintenance costs associated with EVs as compared to gasoline vehicles and
- We retire more gasoline vehicles and replace them with EVs to reduce negative impacts of ongoing dependence on fossil fuels.
- Identify policies and programs that can increase reliability and availability of EV charging in Vermont.
Note: this effort is focused on helping Vermonters transition to electric vehicles. Other transportation strategies are also important, but not the remit of this group. Transportation for Vermonters is already convening stakeholders focused on options such as public transportation, smart growth, and walk/bike.
Timing and Participation
This group’s early focus will be a research paper on the topic. We expect to host a webinar about the research in late spring of 2026.
