Una joined the EAN team summer of 2022 as an intern focusing on transportation, the transition to electric vehicles, and the climate workforce. After her internship, she entered her last semester at Middlebury College where she is majoring in Environmental Policy, a topic that has interested her for much of her life. This passion was solidified during the gap semester Una took before beginning her career at Middlebury. In her time off, she worked as an intern at the Walking Mountains Science Center in Avon, Colorado, researching local climate solutions, calculating their GHG impacts, and presenting the successful behavior change campaigns to government officials and business leaders. When two of her campaigns were adopted across the county, she realized the tangible impacts she could have in communities. Una hopes to continue her career exploring the fields of environmental policy, environmental justice, and sustainable development.
Despite being a New Yorker, born and raised in the heart of Manhattan, Una loves spending her free time outdoors. Whether it be skiing, mountain biking, hiking, swimming in the many gorges and rivers Vermont has to offer, or just reading a book in the sun, it is safe to say that she is happiest outside, especially with her dogs, Bear and Cub, by her side. Una also loves to cook, explore new places, and spend time with her family. Over quarantine, Una picked up skinning, one of her favorite new hobbies!
